ABOUT THE CLUB
In January of 1996 a small group of enthusiastic divers met
for the first time at the Hurricane Lounge in Southport, North Carolina's
small boat harbor. On that cold winter night they became the core of the
Cape Fear Descenders dive club.
The club has a membership of about 60 divers. Members
meet at Thai Peppers, a local restaurant know for its spicy Thailand cuisine,
on the second
Tuesday
of each month to dine, socialize, and enjoy an evening speaker. Parties,
group dives, and continuing education classes occur throughout the year.
